CanopyChaseSounds is based in Atlanta, GA, USA and Singapore and divide our time between the two cities.
At the helm of CanopyChaseSounds is Jason Freeland. An architect who wanted to be a musician. A musician who wanted to be a painter. A painter who wants to make interesting noise(s).
Long story short, Jason has his fingers in many pies and most of those pies are partially finished sonic ideas some of which have had stickers applied to them that says “Done.” Other pies include recording projects for bands that resulted in label releases. Some pies have been bands that he played in, and others have been bands he engineered for. Still other pies have been attempts to blow up his studio with experimental music so exploratory, so unstable, so bizarre, that it becomes beautiful and musical, or at the very least, enjoyable to a handful of people.
His expertise includes stuff like, EQ. Compression. Patchbays. Arpeggios, patterns, and mathematically structured collections of notes. Contact him if you want Rick Rubin on your project but can’t afford him.
